There’s not much that will be gathered from an About page that you won’t learn from reading the site.

You’ll only learn it quicker here. I’m guessing you figured that out. You’re totally lazy aren’t you?

So what can I tell you about the site.

Goblin Talk is the fifth incarnation of a blog created by the Goblin – the four previous blogs were written under different personas and had different focuses. The first blog was created around 1998 using a free Geocities account and Dreamweaver and was used mainly as a place to update family overseas on what our family was doing.

Clearly that’s not what I do anymore.

These days, Goblin Talk is a place for anything and everything. I haven’t found a focus yet and I doubt I will. If you want my focus, check out Celluloid Coma.

That’s the site though. It’s not really me.

I, the Goblin in question – or Tara if you really want to know, am a 25 year old cynical pain in the ass.

In the past few months I’ve made a conscious decision to have a happier life and this included a few lifestyle changes. First, I quit my job.

Second, I quit smoking. Okay, the smoking thing wasn’t really for happiness but people will say it in the end so we may as well say it now.

Unfortunately, my happiness is tied into me being cynical so you won’t be seeing that go away anytime soon.

My hobbies include writing erotic literature about midget cowboys, making leggings with glitter on for my hamster, licking stamps from different countries to appreciate the textures of the various glues and creating dioramas of award shows where all the winners are ants.

My favourite food is Balut, which is a fertilized duck egg with a nearly developed embryo that is boiled and eaten in the shell.

My favourite music is Christian Death Metal.

My favourite movie is Zardoz with Sean Connery.

My favourite saying is “Get down! Get down again!” – Pablo Francisco
