Coming clean

Yesterday Po had a post about leopard print and how terrible it is.

The bright spark that I am then left a comment and let out a deep dark secret: that I like tacky crap purely because it’s tacky and fun.

And Po then asked us to show off.

Well…

Here you go.

Tacky

Right so as you can see this picture is just full of tack.

At the top we have the lamp. That is, honestly, my bed side lamp. Everyone I know absolutely LOATHES the thing because it is so ugly apparently, I however love it simply because it’s so weird and different.

Then there are the handbags. Those would be the purple and hot pink things. Yes, the purple bag is furry. Yes, the hot pink bag is fake leather. Yes, I honestly use them because they’re tacky or out there. As far as handbags go I have quite a collection actually. I have metallic ones, a white stripper bag (that my mother bought me for Xmas last year actually) and ones with horrid old people patterns. I love them all.

Finally, the shoes. There are the leopard print open toed heels – one of two pairs of leopard print heels that I own actually. And then there are my favourite heels that I have ever found, my polka dot ones. I also have these polka dot heels in a black and yellow variation – that’s how much I dig ‘em. Now what is truly frightening about the heels is that…I hardly wear them. I have a substantial collection of wonderful heels in all colours and shapes…but 99% of the time I reach for the sneakers….mainly because I tend to trip in heels. Weak ankles and clumsy, it’s not my fault.

And that is just a sample of the shit I own. I haven’t even photographed my giant rubber duckies or my Xmas tree made out of feathers.

I’m not going to apologise for it either, I like to live in a fun environment – it keeps me happy dude.

    Is that enough exclamation marks?

Those polka dot shoes, don’t even get me started :)

There is nothing to be ashamed of :) you have subverted the typical leopard wearing fashion by embracing the tack, and I love it.
