A Classic Friday Funny

As it turns out, despite everything we learn AT school, teachers do actually have a sense of humour. Well, that’s what this MP3 would have you believe. Unfortunately, it’s a load of crap and is just your usual email forward crap (7 year old email crap too). I did think it was funny though. Mainly because some parents really should be told this when they phone their kids schools.

This is the message that the **Maroochydore High School, Queensland, Australia** staff voted unanimously to record on their school telephone answering machine. This is the actual answering machine message for the school.

This came about because they implemented a policy requiring students and parents to be responsible for their children’s absences and missing homework.

The school and teachers are being sued by parents who want their children’s failing grades changed to passing grades – even though those children were absent 15-30 times during the semester and did not complete enough school work to pass their classes.

Now, my mom sent this to me but I don’t actually have the heart to tell her that it’s a load of crap. It would be like telling a five year old that there’s no Santa Claus. But you know, there’s no kid and…well, this is an email forward and not a mythical person who spreads joy.
