Last night we hadn’t heard anything over Twitter in a few hours, nor had we received another note. We’re going to assume at this stage that her phone has been discovered and Gobz will not be able to communicate with us other than through official kidnapper channels.
This was a bit concerning to everyone of course.
Besides having the kidnap notice appear here the other day. It was also emailed to the family. To try and open up a dialogue, Gobby’s brother replied to this email last night with the following:
Dear Evil Kidnappers,
We are still waiting for further details….
In the meantime we thought we might ask as to the extent of your injuries,
as medical supplies do not come cheap. However, we will (out of admiration
for your bravery and daring for choosing our family member as your target
of a kidnapping challenge) provide basic aids to stop bleeding and
breakages until you can find proper medical attention. Send us your
details and we will see what we can do.We also assume that if you do not reply in the next few days that
something has gone terribly and regrettably wrong. In this case we suggest
you try kidnapping someone who isn’t capable of pushing your head through
a wall at the drop of a ransom note; and hence we do sincerely offer our
condolences, commiserations and best of luck in your future kidnapping
endeavors.Cheerio

Also, I realise it’s Friday and that means there should be something called a ‘Fuck Friday’? I’m not really sure what this involves so I hope you all won’t mind that it is delayed until I figure it out. It sounds a bit crude though.

Thanks for the message, family members. But it’s cool – we’re with Spectramed and they fucking rock. Even with big injuries like traumatic amputations. Who knew medical aid could be so professional and great and lovely?
P.S. Our captive has started talking like a Canadian rock chick. In all our years of kidnapism, we have never experienced this (except for that time that we kidnapped a Canadian rock chick).
