See that little yellow ball adrift in a sea of blue? He’s all alone. Lost and alone with nobody to call his friend. Do you know who that is? That is Monday. Everybody hates Monday. It’s okay though because every week, Monday comes around, expectant and hopeful that maybe, just maybe, this time will be a different story.

Now don’t you want to be his friend?

Okay, you probably don’t, but you can still do something that’ll help him out.

All you’ve gotta do is leave a comment below telling me why you’re an optimist even though it’s an evil evil Monday. It doesn’t even have to be a big thing. Look, I’ll show you:

I’m an optimist because even though I had seen how awful Star Wars Episode 1 and 2 were, I was still excited about Episode 3 and made sure I saw the first possible showing of it in South Africa. (I was wrong, but it’s okay.)

See? Simple. Here’s another one:

I’m an optimist because even though you might not leave a comment telling me why you’re an optimist, there’s a good chance that you’ll click this link and go and vote for the right to tell the world you’re an optimist anyway.

And if this is all to warm and fuzzy for you, you’ll be happy to know there is only a week and a half left before the competition draws to a close and you won’t have to hear me go on about hopeful outlooks anymore.

It’s quite enjoyable if you try it though. It’s the same reason you should laugh at things in life and never take anything too seriously. That’s right boys and girls, it helps keep you haaaaaappy.

Oh good god. Just call me a hippie whore now and be done with it.
