    Reminds me of the 80s. I wanted to do Typing as a subject at school and they wouldn’t allow it. Boys don’t take typing lessons apparently. I had to do Geography instead (and loved it too! Got an A in my matric final!)

    So blatant discrimination ended up being helpful…interesting. ;)

    I went to an all girls school for most of my school years so when I campaigned for woodwork classes…I got told to sit down and shut up and take Home Ec if I really wanted something hands on. Unlike you I didn’t really love my forced option though.

    Briget – And they’ll stop at nothing to get them. :P

    angel – Well, a little bit. For instance, we don’t call them metermaids anymore and it’s now flight attendant, not stewardess ;)
