Ten things that make me oh so happy – Part 1.

13 Nov

Okay, I have stolen this from ExMi who stole it from Sleepyjane. It’s supposed to be ten things that piss you off all in one post. I have a lot to say about things that piss me off though so I have decided that I am going to split it up over the course of a few days.

And what do we have for part one of this serious exercise? Well that would be the road I live in.

My little block of flats only has like 15 flats in so there aren’t many people to fight with, I’ve managed to find one who will become my bitter enemy though.I’ll get to that in a second, let me explain why I hate my road and not just my neighbour.

It’s a tiny road. You can only park on one side of it otherwise you end up blocking the road. My block of flats only has 8 garages for 15 flats…I don’t get to have one of them.

The situation is then worsened by the fact that the woman in the giant house across the road appears to run a day care/swimming school/something that attracts lots of mommy’s and their spawn.

So everyday, at five o’clock, I drive home. I go through town, go up high level road and eventually get to my little road up there in Green Point. Only to find…no where for me to park my goddamn car.

This occurs because of 3 things:

1. The mommy’s that visit the big house up the street park their SUV’s all over…and then stay there for hours upon hours. I think they have issues with letting go.

2. People don’t park properly (particularly a blonde woman who drives a BMW – I will say nothing at this point because there are way too many stereotypes being proven by her driving skills). There’s enough room for three cars to comfortably fit along the one section of road but we never get in more than 2. This is because people are inconsiderate and don’t think, “hey, if I move just a little bit forward, right up to the edge of the yellow line over there, someone else may be able to get in behind me”. I am apparently alone in thinking this way. It might be weird, but at least I’m more considerate than you okay.

3. My cunt neighbours who have garages decide to park in the street because it’s “more convenient”. Seriously. I was waiting for someone to come out the one day and then my upstairs neighbour drove past. Eventually I ran into him in the hallway and asked him if he also had a problem getting parking that day. He answered “no, I have a garage, I just park out there sometimes because it’s more convenient”. O_o

You know how it’s more convenient? Because it means he walks 10 less feet to his front door and doesn’t have to swipe his little security disk over one extra sensor.

Next time it happens I’m asking him if I can have his garage. Lazy cunt.

This all puts a major kink in my day when I get home. It pisses me off. Weird, yes. Nothing I can do about it except move? Yes. I should move and stop complaining? Fuck you.

Have a nice day now.

I would buy some Red Road Paint and go out one night and paint a parking spot for yourself….

And then put towaway stickers up with a warning that trespassers will be shot.,. survivors will be shot again..

but that’s angry me.. I am angry girl today… angry angry angry girl..

i am so sorry… and i can sympathise with neighbours not parking where they’re supposed to- i had the same issue when i lived in the flat, except i was lucky enough to have one undercover spot just for me.

B – I swear I have thought about it! I even look longingly at my air rifle and think about shooting out some windows.

ExMi – You left out lazy ;)

Angel – Yeeeeah it’s crap. At my old place as well, we had designated parking bays and garages and I had a neighbour who would continually wash his car in front of my garage door…until I opened it once and hit his car. Mwahhaa.
